While palm-trees and sandy toes are not part of your typical holiday vacation, Key West does the holidays right. Strolling down Duval St. you can find the lampposts decorated with holiday wreaths. Looking around, everyone may still be in flip-flops and bathing suits, but you can feel the holiday cheer. The holiday spirit sure shines bright while you are laying on the beach in December. With great weather and fun events, the southernmost city is a wonderful holiday destination. Just don't be surprised if you find Santa is lounging poolside, and more palm trees than christmas trees are decorated with twinkling lights. With more than it's share of holiday cheer, Key West puts it's own spin on holiday celebrations like the Lighted Boat Parade and Christmas caroling by Conch Train. Come celebrate in the sunshine.
